Chavez SuperMarket Taqueria in Redwood City

Taqueria is clean and food is very good. It gets crowded around noon, but the line moves fast. Very clean store. Produce and carniceria are both excellent, highly recommended.

This is my favorite store of their many locations. There is a taqueria in store for takeout or you can sit at one the many tables. It serves fantastic authentic Mexican food including handmade corn tortillas. The meat department of the grocery store is clean and well stocked with good quality beef and poultry. There are well trained and knowledgeable butchers behind the counter, something no longer found at most modern grocery stores.

Awesome!!! There is a resturant inside and the Mexican food was authentic and delisous.

Chavez Market on 5th is a favorite for my family and I! My kids can't get enough of their food from the Taqueria there. We go almost every week and absolutely love it. The market has a ton of great stuff. Their meat selection is awesome. It's super convenient for us so its a quick place to go grab just about anything we need.

One of the top locations in redwood city with premium mexican food at reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place for quick groceries, or a quick burrito. Chavez Meat market has been a well establishment in Redwood city for years.

Decent fast Mexican food. Not the best I've had, not the worst. I found as expensive if not more so, than an actual restaurant and you don't get chips and salsa. You also don't have to wait much to get your food, so it's a trade off. If they don't offer an item when building your order, and you request it, you will be charged for it, even if you declined all the other toppings. (Daughter got tacos with meat only and requested sour cream). Very clean store, close to where we were staying. Wouldn't rule out a return when we are in the area again.

Good attention and a great variety of Hispanic food. Though, I wouldn't say they are the cheapest supermarket on their kind.

Great place to find Latin dish ideas. The people at this Chavez are especially helpful and friendly. Never had an issue here.

Two words for the skirt steak - the best! Decided to grill up some protein & was told to try this local market by an old friend of mine in Redwood City. Their deli is off the charts. Choices, choices & more choices=no bad decisions. Forget Safeway & other local deli's, this is now your go to place.

Simply the best, cleanest, freshest market I've seen in a long time. In house tortillas, locally sourced meat and a large selection of hard to find Latinx products.

Hot food must be fairly good judging by the long line. I cook my own Mexican food, so haven't tried it. However, their meat counter has the best Harris Ranch beef. Love their flap steak for grilling. Also, their Chavez tortilla chips are super crunchy, corny and delicious.

Chavez Supermarket always has a variety of fresh produce and fruits as well as fresh meats and fish. The taqueria makes delicious tacos of your choice of meats and burritos and other delicious Mexican food.

The taqueria inside is amazing. Simple looking food but bold flavors. The fresh chips and salsa are addicting. The carne and pollo asada tacos are a must.

Went there to have some quick shopping for a party. Found everything needed. Place was not crowded so it was easy for me to buy. Parking is small and you may find difficulties in parking your vehicle because of narrow lanes. Staff was helpful. Prices are almost normal for everything.

There is a restaurant here that has really good Mexican food. I enjoy ordering at the counter and watching my meal being expertly prepared. You can dine in or take out. And, the prices here are very reasonable

I go for the Taqueria. Food is decent for a fast food vibe, but it does feel a little measured. By that I mean they literally weigh the meats for your burritos. Still, it's generally tasty grub
